外國人合唱團~等待一個像妳這樣的女孩
Foreigner合唱團的抒情搖滾曲一 直是當年排行榜的常勝軍，Foreigner 起源於英國籍的吉他手Mick Jones，他原來是迷幻樂隊Spooky Tooth的成員，1975年他來到紐約加入了幾個不同的團體，最後結識了主唱Lou Gramm，於是以這位英國來的外國人命名，於是乎於1976年的美國紐約，組成Foreigner "外國人"合唱團。
同名首作於1977年發行，隨即以"Feels Like The First Time" 、"Long, Long Way From Home"、"Cold As Ice"擠進全美流行榜，受到廣大抒情搖滾樂迷的喜愛，大賣500萬張；這首"Waiting For A Girl Like You"(等待一個像妳這樣的女孩) 原本收錄在1981年Foreigner的第四張專輯裡，而這張專輯也正是他們的經典代表作，獲得1981搖滾榜第一， 全美流行榜第二，成人抒情榜第五。至今已賣出超過700萬張了，專輯中另一首"Urgent"單曲亦不遑多讓，他們唱紅的歌曲甚多，也是電視廣告及影片剪輯配樂的最愛，但1990年代之後就沒有新作了，僅偶而巡迴演唱，甚為可惜。
而Waiting For A Girl Like You 這首歌中不斷的重複"我一直在等待一位像你這樣的女孩 "，有一點像台語個曲中的"等無人"~~ 夢也夢，等呀等.... 就是等不到喜愛的人在眼前出現，只能夢中想像.....夢醒了還是又回到一直在等待某個鮮活的人.....
